The Hoodie sends a hoodie

The New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick must be a baseball fan and it’s not the Red Sox he’s following. As the baseball season entered it’s second week of the season, the Tampa Bay Rays came into Fenway Park for a three game series. The weather on the night of the first game of the season was miserable. At gametime, 35 degrees, windy and rainy.

When the camera panned into the Rays dugout, Rays manager Joe Maddon was seen sporting a hoodie under his jacket. Of course the uniform nazis over at MLB headquarters said not so fast Mr. Maddon. The hoodie is not an officially sanctioned piece of attire to be worn in the dugout or on the field and banned him from forever wearing the hoodie again. As a side note, if MLB is so damned concerned about the attire coaches and players are wearing, then do something about these god awful pants the players are wearing currently. Pitchers pants are atrocious.

When the news of a hoodie clampdown reached The Hoodie, there was outrage. Belichick quickly designed a personalized New England Patriots hoodie for Joe Maddon, complete with embossed initials with a personal letter and shipped it off to Tropicana Field. Maddon was surprised with his gift and said he plans to reciprocate with a Rays hoodie for Belichick.

I wonder how the Red Sox and Tampa Bay Buccaneers feel? Like a mistress who finds out that her lover will never leave his wife? Or does the hoodie create an unspoken fraternity and bond sort of like that which exists between Harley riders? Personally, I can’t stand the things.

Last night the Patriots selected Rob Gronkowski from Arizona. As the 4th round opened Saturday morning, the Patriots selected Aaron Hernandez from the University of Florida. He is a athletic freak and should be very fun to watch in the Patriots offense.

Patriots move up and select………
